One of nature's most wonderful sights is the Midnight Sun - when the sun never sets! This phenomenon, particularly in Norway, opens the doors to unique activities, like kayaking at midnight. Get this one of a kind experience on the Midnight Sun Paddle with Explore Harstad, where the serene beauty of the fjord comes alive under the enchanting glow of the midnight sun.

This 4-hour kayaking adventure offers an unparalleled experience, allowing participants to paddle through calm waters while the sun hovers just above the horizon, painting the sky with stunning shades of orange and pink. Suitable for ages 12 and up, this medium-difficulty tour begins with a brief introduction to paddling techniques and safety instructions provided by certified guides from the Norwegian Paddling Association. As the journey unfolds, kayakers prepare themselves in drysuits and set out on the tranquil sea, often encountering peaceful wildlife in the stillness of the evening.

The guide leads the group to one of the best vantage points for observing the midnight sun, ensuring a picturesque and memorable experience. After an hour of paddling, participants will stop at an idyllic beach to stroll along the shoreline, share a delightful meal, and enjoy engaging conversations with fellow adventurers. The return paddle to the starting point marks the end of this magical journey, leaving guests with lasting memories of a unique arctic adventure.
