Visit Huset Aukrust in Alvdal to discover the art, humor, and imagination of Kjell Aukrust. See original drawings, models, and inventions, watch films in Flåklypasalen, and take part in a guided “moon tour” aboard La Pollo XIII.
Huset Aukrust, designed by architect Sverre Fehn, is a unique cultural venue dedicated to Norwegian artist Kjell Aukrust. It houses a wide collection of his works, from humorous drawings and paintings to imaginative inventions and film sets.
One of the highlights is the film theatre Flåklypasalen, where visitors can enjoy short films from the universe of Flåklypa and other works by Aukrust. Outdoors, guests can walk up to Flåklypatoppen to visit Reodor Felgen’s house, Ludvig’s mailbox, and the moon rocket La Pollo XIII.
During the summer season, the rocket becomes an interactive attraction with “moon tours” – a fun and engaging experience for both children and adults. The center also features a café with local snacks and a museum shop with unique souvenirs.
Open year-round with extended opening hours in summer. Guided activities and “moon tours” are seasonal. Café and shop are open during museum hours.
