The waters around Vannøya are known for their exceptional biodiversity and stable fish stocks. Depending on season and conditions, you can target species such as Atlantic cod, halibut, coalfish (saithe), pollock, haddock, redfish, wolffish, and ling. The area is far less crowded than more commercial destinations, which allows for a calm, immersive experience close to nature.

All trips are led by an experienced local guide with extensive knowledge of the area, weather patterns, tides, and fish behavior. We adapt each trip to the current conditions and to the experience level of the guests — whether you are a beginner looking for your first Arctic fishing adventure or an experienced angler searching for trophy fish.

We fish from modern, well-equipped boats designed for Arctic conditions, with a strong focus on safety and comfort. Life jackets and all required safety equipment are provided. High-quality fishing gear can be supplied if needed, or you are welcome to bring your own equipment.

Beyond fishing, the trip is also about the overall Arctic experience: dramatic coastal landscapes, steep mountains rising directly from the sea, seabirds, and — with a bit of luck — encounters with whales or seals. During certain seasons, fishing can even be combined with the midnight sun or northern lights, creating a truly unique atmosphere.

The trip can be tailored to half-day or full-day excursions, depending on weather, season, and your preferences. Catch handling and basic fish processing guidance can be included, and we are happy to share local tips on preparation and traditional use of the fish.

This is not mass tourism, but a personal, small-scale guiding experience focused on quality, nature, and genuine Northern Norwegian coastal culture.
