Experience Knaben Via Ferrata – equipment included!

This tour is perfect for those who want a flexible and challenging via ferrata experience with all equipment provided.

Knaben Via Ferrata offers beautiful views, varied mountain terrain, and several exciting climbing sections. You follow the route on your own, at your own pace, and can choose between three different route options in the upper part of the climb.

Ideal for those with some via ferrata experience, or for anyone wanting to try a self‑guided tour with a strong sense of achievement.

Knaben Via Ferrata is located near Knaben Gård in Southern Norway. The route is established on the mountain Knabekniben, 786 meters above sea level, and offers easy access, solid rock, and a well‑marked return trail.

The experience begins with a short 10‑minute walk from the main road to the starting point. The first section of the climb takes you about 80 vertical meters up the initial wall, before the route continues along a 600‑meter mountain trail leading to the upper part of the climb.

In the upper section, you can choose between three different final routes with varying levels of difficulty – moderate, challenging, or very challenging. For those who prefer a shorter or less exposed experience, there is a clearly marked escape route after the first climbing wall.

From the top of Knabekniben, you follow a blue‑marked trail down to the main road. From there, it is approximately 1.1 km back to BaseCamp. The entire tour offers an airy and varied climbing experience with beautiful views, great exposure, and the freedom to choose a route that matches your skill level.

This option is ideal for those who want to climb independently but with all necessary equipment included. You set your own pace and enjoy a flexible and challenging via ferrata experience in spectacular mountain terrain.
